The fire began on Wednesday, Dec. 30, around 10 p.m. at Twisted Piston Automotive on Gore Road in Webster.

A “mayday” call was put out during the fire, according to scanner chatter. Though "mayday" means different things to different fire departments, it is generally considered a call for help when a member of the fire department is in imminent danger and/or needs to be rescued.

A firefighter was transported to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to WHN.

The blaze required mutual aid and the Dudley Fire Department responded. The State Fire Marshall may have responded as well.

The fire appears to have been extinguished quickly, according to Twitter updates from responding firefighters.

The Twisted Piston is owned by Justin Desmarais, according to the Better Business Bureau. The auto shop has been open for six years.
